Hello. This post for any one who is using activesink with a serial port. If you use a braille note this would bwe helpful.

A couple of months ago I took my computer to the shop to have a second drive added. After receiving it back with the new drive added, i discovered that my serial port no longer works. I was told that it is disabled. I can not use a usb connection because my bn does not have a usb port. I was told that in order to reinable to reinable the port i will need to go to the bios, how ever not being able to see the screen this is impossible. I checked ibn device manager and it says that is on. Any ideas>? My dad is not brave enough to go in to bios and check nor does he know or understand what I am trying to do.

Thanks again for reading this post.

Your fucked unless you can get someone to help you with the bios. You could use a usb to cerial converter, but that's just a pain and is shotty at best.
